Nope, but every school I've ever gone to has a McGrath and they always ask if we are related.
And almost everyone has a Megan/Meghan McGrath, so they ask if she's my sister. I always say, I have a sister named Meghan, but that is not her. LOL

"I'm supposed to be editing my theme and doing my cell project for Bio, but as few of you know, I'm a hard-core procrastinator! I'll probably start at like midnight and finish by the crack of dawn, if I decide to do it at all. Lately, I just don't feel like doing the work. As long as I pass the class, I don't care what grade it is and that's definitely not like me...ten more days till Christmas day and eighteen more days until Dracula's Ball, plus Samurai Deeper Kyo DVD 4 comes out tomorrow!"
That was my first LJ post ever. 6 years later, I'm still a procrastinator, but I don't really watch anime anymore.
It's interesting to look back though. :P

Wow, I've been doing a bunch of these lately.
Dealbreakers:
*Abuse (physical, emotional, etc.) *Doesn't have their own life (If we're dating, it's fun to spend every waking moment together, but I'm warning you now; I WILL get sick of you that much faster) *Doesn't support my passion/hobbies *Drug use (Includes smoking and excessive drinking) *Honesty/Trust Issues (Not trustworthy/doesn't trust me) *Infidelity (Zero tolerance policy) *Insecurity *No chemistry *No contact (I refuse to initiate every conversation, so if you don't do some of the work, I take that as a sign and cut you loose.) *Super-jealous (small doses are cute, but too much is annoying as hell) *Too serious *Too tame/structured (you need to be spontaneous once in awhile, take a risk) *Worry-wart | comments: Leave a comment |

I've never heard of people having a choice of what your spirit animal is; it chooses you.
And generally, for beginners, they tend to be domesticated, every day type animals. As you make your way through life, other, more strong and majestic animals, might eventually help you. | comments: Leave a comment |

Not sure if this counts, but my senior year of high school, my BFF Stef and I were walking around the mall. We walked past a stand with a super hot guy and he asked us if we wanted to try some lotion (he worked at a spa-supply type stand); I said no, but thanks. Then he said something under his breath (I assumed it was an insult), so I walked away.
Once we were a safe distance away from the stand, Stef was like "Man, why did you burn that hot guy?" I was like "What are you talking about? Because I didn't try the lotion?" She said "No, because he said "Will you give me a hug then?" and you walked away!
So we were on our way out of the mall, and we walked by the stand and the guy was still there. So I say "Hey. Do you still want that hug?" He said "Most def" so I hugged him. | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |
| Today Dave and I hung out like all day. I went back to North after lunch with Dave and Angela and just relaxed. Within an hour, Dave wanted me to come over to hang out. So I went over and he was playing his video game so I read my book for a while. Then for some reason, we started talking about French so we started speaking french to one another, but since I knew more(like 3-4 more years worth), it was a rather one-sided convo.
After we were done flirting in french, we went to the mall on the SGA van. Some guy tried to sell us lotion at a nearby kiosk, and the guy was like "You want to buy some for your girlfriend?" and Dave was like "Um...actually she's my wife." The dude was so stunned, it was funny. So for the rest of the night, we were teasing each other, calling each other "wife", "hubby", "dear(est)", etc. and making up stories about our "son" Billie and "daughter" Susie. It was frickin' hilarious, and we had a great time. Especially when we went into Borders and Dave bought me a book with romantic French phrases in it. It was such a fun day.
Plus Dave agreed to go to the Spring Semi-Formal with me! Yayness!! | comments: Leave a comment |
| Today was rather disappointing, but not everything was bad.
Class 1: Brit Lit The class was packed...like there's at least 30 people. Plus we have a ton of reading to do...Ugh. The bright side is that Angela and Dave are in that class....
Class 2: Elementary Statistics The class had about 20 or so people. The book was costly ($121) and there's a bunch of summer start people in there. The teacher also jumps around from topic to topic alot. Again, Dave and Angela are in that class.
Then the rest of the day was boring, but at least the girl who they were going to put into my room was moved somewhere else!! | comments: Leave a comment |

| It's Homecoming Weekend and there's supposedly so much to do, but I'm still bored....At least tonight is the campus mixer at the club 1402, so it ought to be interesting...
EDIT:
It actually wasn't that bad. Dave didn't want to go so I went with a bunch of people from his dorm. We decided to go slightly late to be fashionable so we caught the bus at 10 and Jess, Liz, and I stayed till 12 so it was cool. The music wasn't that bad and we had a good time until people started pushing and what not. That got on my nerves after a while. | comments: Leave a comment |

| Today was officially "Pick on Jamie Day", but instead of getting upset about it, I've learned to get even. Like when my english professor started talking about all the mistakes people were making in writing their papers, he decided to use mine as an example. He almost said that it was my paper, but when he saw me glare at him(I sit in the front row), he remembered that it was my paper and stopped talking about it. Just wait until he reads my rewrite!
Then I went to band and out of 3 trombones, I was the only one there for about 45 minutes! Of course, this would be the one time we play the trombone soli part in a difficult song that I can't play. And of course, the whole band was watching, but at least I pushed my way through it and we went on to other things. Even though I couldn't play it, I still gave 100% all rehearsal | comments: Leave a comment |

| The last two days were funny as hell..like Wednesday I fell asleep in Dave's room and he was trying to hide me from his roommate. His roommate comes storming in, drunk at 1:40AM and yells "Fuck" and runs out. So Dave and I look at each other like 'okay?' His roommate, Andy, comes back 20 minutes later and without even shutting the door, starts just taking off his clothes and jumping in bed. So, his roommate kinda freaks me out now... Then yesterday, I had English with Silar and he's learned that I will challenge what he says, so that class was soo much better than past classes (except for Tuesday when I told him off!) Then at night, I saw Recycled Percussion, this awesome "junk rock" band...It was freakin' awesome and I must say those drummers are hott!!

| I miss marching band soo much....like pep band is okay because I got them to play "The Horse", but they won't play it 'till the second game. But our advisor loves it, and Dr. Spence is so awesome because he's a trombone player! But regardless, pep band doesn't do anything fun, like sway, or play Jeopardy, or kick-off...it sucks so much! And last night, when the freshmen were required to attend a speech on Diversity, I heard drums so I looked over and there was a high school marching band performing their show in our stadium! At first, I was like that's cool, but later when Dave and I were walking around, I almost cried when I heard them playing "The Horse" and "The Hey Song" because the way the Albright pep band plays it just isn't the same! Dave saw I was upset and he was like, "you wanna go watch the game?" even though he hates football, but I just went back to my dorm. It's depressing that pep band won't ever be a replacement for marching band....I never thought I'd miss UMMV, but I already do...
Maybe jazz band will be my replacement marching band because I'm the only 'bone player there too, but Dr. Spence thinks I'm awesome. Like on Wednesday night, he was like "Thank your high school band director for me!" but I won't ever thank Washam for that, it was all me. Me listening to the music and learning it, me coaching my section to play it, me resolving the disputes between members of my section.....I learned to play without any help from him, but Becky(our band director) and Dr. Spence are way better than Washam ever was; they at least show apperciation for low brass.
Trombones Rule forever! (even if now its just me and Adrien) | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |

| | Today was awesome! Yesterday I lost my ID so I went down to Public Safety to get a new one and the security guard was awesome! His name is SGT. Art and he gave me a replacement ID for free(usually it costs $30); he also gave me contact info of this awesome journalism major who's a junior this year, for proofreading and inspiration. I love Albright! | comments: Leave a comment |
| I so did not want to wake up today; I had my alarm set for 8, so I could talk to the campus people about a job, and didn't feel like getting up. So naturally, I hit my alarm off and made it for 9:20. 9:20 comes around, I still don't wanna get up; my roommate is not happy, but has a 10:00 class so she gets up and I continue sleeping. Finally I get up at 10:10 for my 11:00 class!
Today I also got a job on campus after so much running around like crazy. It isn't the best job in the world; it''s in the dreaded cafeteria! But the cafeteria manager, Julie, is super nice and she has a great sense of humor; she's awesome! Even when I explained I had so many conflicts with band, she helped me find other shifts!! And she worked to put my friend Angela and I on shifts together!
My work schedule is as follows:
Friday: 4:30-7:15
Sun: 11-2 4:30-7:15
Even though its crappy pay($5.15), I still get $750/semester for work study so it still helps a little. Besides its more money than I have now!!

| Wow, it's been awhile since I've updated this....with anything super awesome.
Well, during the last few weeks of Summer Start we had many social events like the pool party, the Phillies game, Hershey Park, and the final banquet. The (Reading) Phillies game actually did't turn out as bad as I thought because our group got the whole stadium to do the wave; it was awesome. We actuslly had people running to each section to get them to do it! And it poured in the middle of the game for a good 45 minutes, so Dave and I huddled under my Albright Sweatshirt. Then it cleared up, so at the end of the game, we got to enjoy 30 minutes of fireworks, which we took advantage of for the last few Saturday nights we were there. Plus Dave lost the bet we made (The Phillies won), so he had to dance his way around the girls floor singing "I like to move it"; the best part was that someone taped it!!
Finally, 2 days before D-Day came the final banquet and everyone was assigned a partner at their table. Most people were stuck with people they hadn't talked to for 5 weeks; however, since Dave and I were favorites of both the assistants and the director of the program, he put us together without a dignitary from the college to impress. Which of course, he announced when he did seating arrangements during class which caused an "awwwww" that lasted like 5 minutes! So banquet night finally comes and Dave is pouring his drinks for our table (with his parents, my mom, and Stef) and he totally spilled ice all over the table!!! It was hilarious! That's when his mother admitted she had been waiting for that to happen; "You can dress him up, but you can't take him out," she said and Dave turned soo red!!
August 6th was D-Day(decision day) at Albright's Summer Start session and the director of the program informed me that not only was I accepted to their college, but that I had the highest grades (class-wise) and Standardized Test wise out of 46 students!!! Then Dave told me that he was 2nd out of everybody, so we are just awesome like that; I guess all that time hanging around together must have paid off. We always used "Rec Time" as work time, go to dinner together, and relax together till curfew, so I guess it worked!
I hung out at Stefanie's house last week and we went to the DCI Quarterfinals together as well as seeing "John Tucker Must Die". Now I'm in NJ. Saturday, Dave and I went to DE and spent $100 each at the outlets and it was an awesome day overall! Sunday I had a yard sale and sold $200 worth of stuff, but since only 25% of that was my stuff, I got $50 which isn't bad for sitting outside on your butt for 5 hours! Monday, Dave and I went to buy a laptop for school and I ended up buying an Ipod Nano as well. Then as we were leaving, we saw his friends so I got to meet them, and they're a little weird, but kool.
I can't believe I found someone so amazing in Summer Start! We were honestly the only two people who didn't belong there; just too much procrastination in high school cost us 5 weeks of our senior summer. But I honestly wouldn't trade it for anything; in fact, next year, I'm going to help the next group of Albright hopefuls study and get accepted because it honestly helps to have someone there even if it is just to proofread papers. Summer Start was an awesome experience and honestly, I think any newcomer to the school could benefit from it.
